The Thomas Sizgorich Memorial Fund
The Sizgorich Memorial Fund supports UCSB graduate students who wish to study ancient history, Late Antiquity, or early Islamic history. The fund is intended to help recruit incoming graduate students who come from economically disadvantaged or non-traditional backgrounds.

The Sizgorich Fund is named in honor of Thomas Sizgorich, a 2005 UCSB Ph.D. and Associate Professor of History at UC Irvine who passed away suddenly on January 27, 2011.

The Harold and Kathleen Drake Fund
The Harold and Kathleen Drake fund provides support for graduate student research, travel, conference participation, and other scholarly activities. The Drake Fund is intended to promote graduate study of Ancient Mediterranean and Ancient Chinese history at UCSB.

The Drake Fund was established through a generous donation from Prof. Harold Drake and his wife Kathleen.
